Biden’s Own Panel Says No to Supreme Court Packing
15 Oct 2021
CLAY: You knew this story was coming out at some point, and I thought this would probably be the likely result. Reports are that the Supreme Court panel that was put together by Joe Biden to analyze whether there should be more Supreme Court justices added… Trump obviously got three new Supreme Court justices on the court during his tenure.
They are saying “no” to the idea of court packing, which is going to upset the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. But that argument, it appears, of adding Supreme Court justices is effectively dead unless Democrats ended up with a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, which seems highly unlikely as we inch closer and closer to 2022.
