We’ll Read Your Wittiest 5-Star Podcast Reviews on Air
6 Jul 2021
CLAY: I hope your week is off to a good start. I want you to know, by the way, we had the show yesterday. I thought it was pretty fantastic. You can go download the podcasts. Search out “Clay Travis.” Search out “Buck Sexton.” I have noticed tons: You’re giving us five-star reviews.
We’re gonna put Dub on our staff here to work reviewing some of those. If you make us laugh, if you say something funny in the five-star review — blow us away with your wit — we will read some of those at some point this week. We also want to catch NPR. We are fast on their heels and fingers crossed that we’re gonna be able to do it. Buck Sexton? I know, right?
BUCK: What is this, Serial now is number four and we are number five?
CLAY: Oh, no.
BUCK: A starchy breakfast food is ahead of us? Unacceptable.
CLAY: We are still top five, but, yes, the Serial podcast. I don’t even know what Serial version they’re on. Not the “cereal” like Lucky Charms, but they’re like a true crime podcast. Why do they…?
BUCK: (laughing) Like “serial killer,” right.
CLAY: Yeah. Why do they even count as a news story? Like, is that really news, that you would be kind of chasing, like, a serial killer from 50 years ago?
BUCK: I’m throwing a flag on it. I’ll tell you right now. I’m throwing a flag.
CLAY: I think it’s a bit unfair. But I want you guys to go subscribe. Keep us rolling. I still want to catch NPR. NPR up first, by the way, and also the New York Times Daily. At some point we are gonna manage to do it because you are the biggest and best radio audience anywhere in the country. So if you search out my name Clay Travis/Buck Sexton, go give us five stars, and please go subscribe to the podcasts.
