Jimmy Carter 2.0

14 Jul 2021

CLAY: They want to talk about Jim Crow 2.0. I think Jimmy Carter 2.0 is a lot more accurate of an appellation. Think about it, Buck. And we’ll talk about this as we kind of unspool the Cuba situation and everything else. But you’ve got fleeing out of a country, Afghanistan standing in for Vietnam, Jimmy Carter. You have got all of the chaos that is unspooling with inflation. Massive high. Over 5% inflation, that they keep telling us is gonna come back down. And look, I hope they’re right, because I don’t want inflation to take off in the country. You have an impotent executive, that seems to be there only because of covid, which basically the only reason Jimmy Carter got in was Watergate.

I think there are an awful lot of Jimmy Carter 2.0 signs, way more than there are Jim Crow 2.0 signs.

BUCK: I think that’s really unfair to Jimmy Carter, though, Clay ’cause he’s definitely smarter than Biden. Definitely smarter than Biden.

CLAY: He’s definitely way smarter.

BUCK: Jimmy Carter actually did his homework. I mean, he was a liberal. He was ineffective. Fine. You know, he had a bad presidency. But Joe Biden’s like the guy who was copying his homework from the dumb kid in the class ’cause he couldn’t even figure out how to cheat well. That’s who Joe Biden is.

CLAY: Well, if only people ever said critical things about Joe Biden.

BUCK: It’s amazing.

CLAY: That’s Kamala Harris talking, right?

BUCK: Or his son’s paintings, which, as I understand it, some of the critics who are the actual art critics — I don’t mean media critics — who are looking to saying, paying $500,000 for a Hunter Biden painting is money laundering, okay? If it wasn’t the president’s son, that’s what people would call it, because that’s clearly what it is.
