De Blasio’s Done: Nobody Wants the W.O.A.T. in Congress
20 Jul 2022
BUCK: We talked about this. It was uncanny timing. I don’t think that Bill de Blasio, the former worst mayor in America… I know our Portland audience is like, have you met Ted Wheeler? I know people listening in Chicago are like, have you heard of Lori Lightfoot? But I would submit that Bill de Blasio, in his time, he was number one. If there was a G.O.A.T. of the worst, or I guess that would be the W.O.A.T.
CLAY: Worst of all time, yeah.
BUCK: If there’s a W.O.A.T. it would be Bill de Blasio. The worst of all time as a mayor. And this is a guy who inherited a city that was just doing incredibly well from a financial, crime — financial standpoint, crime standpoint. Everything. Anyway, he ran for president, which was laughable. Then he wanted to run for Congress. And we were making fun of him. And then he announced that it wasn’t going to work out. We wanted you to just savor this moment. Because here’s Bill de Blasio having to admit, yeah, it turns out, nobody likes me.

CLAY: He’s a bum, okay? He’s the worst. He’s a joke. He destroyed New York, as much as he possibly could. Clay, I would say, he was borderline psychopathic in the glee he took in firing people from their jobs in not getting a shot that didn’t do a damn thing, didn’t do anything to stop the spread.
BUCK: I’m not sure there has ever been — it’s a fun debate. This guy ran for president of the United States. He was on the debate stage in 2020, thinking, hey, there’s a huge demand for what I’m selling. I’ve done such an incredible job in New York City. It’s going to translate well. He went all the way. All the way from running for president of the United States, to having to announce, Buck, that the tenth congressional district in New York, so overwhelmingly hated him, that he wasn’t even able to get elected to Congress. I’m not sure that has ever happened before.
He is the worst, folks. The W.O.A.T. The worst of all time, Bill de Blasio. It’s a real thing. He hurt a lot of people. We actually make fun of him. But he actually hurt a lot of people because he’s a craven, progressive maniac.
