Here’s Why Republican Senators Sold Out on the Omnibus Bill
23 Dec 2022
Republicans are mostly not up to the job and we don’t have our best in Washington, as demonstrated by so many of them selling us out on this omnibus spending bill with $1.7 trillion and not a dime for border security. Clay thinks we used to have a better quality of representative, and we’ve run a lot of them off with the politics of destruction.
Today the House of Representatives is voting to spend $1.7 trillion of your taxpayer money and only half of them are willing to vote in person because the other half have already left to go home for the holidays. Pathetic.

Lots of Republicans let us down. What’s the difference between them and Democrats?

This is why we give credit to Elon Musk and Donald Trump, who give up living lives solely of wealth to serve, unlike politicians who serve and then cash in on their high office.
I’m in favor of a small spending bill to keep things running, but common sense suggests that it be the least amount required through the holidays.
Railroading through a giant spending bill that almost no one has read is unlikely to be in the best interests of the people.
