BUCK: The Guns of August by Barbara Tuchman. World War I absolute classic. It’s really about just the beginning and the lead-up to it. It’s about a funeral of a royal and all the European royals who showed up. And this is in the months before the breakout of World War I. And it’s a really compelling.
