Clay and Buck React to President Trump’s 2024 Announcement

President Trump announced his 2024 candidacy at Mar-a-Lago last night.

He followed C&B’s advice and did not focus on the 2020 election. He gave a subdued and presidential speech, without any attacks on fellow Republicans like Ron DeSantis or Glenn Youngkin. If you missed it, watch the whole speech here:

He’s declared very early and he’s the leader of the Republican Party until somebody else takes that mantle from him. There will be challengers, but will any give him a serious run in the GOP primary? We’ll see.

Will Biden’s DOJ indict him? If they do, does that strengthen or weaken him? Would an indicted presidential nominee be able to win in a general election in swing states?

We have two years to go, and so much will happen between now and then, but be enthused. The battle to beat Joe Biden in 2024 has begun. We all know about DeSantis, but the buzz is out there that Youngkin will run as well.

It’s going to be some ride.  It might be a little rough, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The 2016 primary made Donald Trump better.  Buckle up, everyone.
