BUCK: I think we mentioned this in the first hour, video of children out in… What was it, Portland? I was saying this is happening in New York for months.
CLAY: This is mind-boggling.
BUCK: Children in sub-40 degree weather outside for their lunch eating, separated from each other, sitting on —
CLAY: Buckets.
BUCK: — overturned buckets with masks on to mask up between bites outside. I am not exaggerating. I’m not saying this so that the Right Wing Watch or something will clip it or whatever. Bring it, Right Wing Watch! It is child abuse.
CLAY: Yeah.
BUCK: It is child abuse what they’re doing to people and what they’re doing to children, obviously, and there’s no real… Why isn’t Fauci asked about this? Why won’t he even come out before being asked about it and just say, “Okay, that’s not necessary. That is actually too far.” Not only does he never subject himself to people who will ask him tough questions or just disagree with his philosophy, quite honestly, beyond that, Clay, he never tells people, “This is too much. That’s actually not worth it.”
The closest thing would have been outdoor masking. But remember, they didn’t say, “Don’t do it. It’s dumb.” They said, “Maybe you don’t have to do it unless you’re in close proximity outside”. There’s always these gray areas so they can turn the screws again — and nothing, on no issue, has he been willing to say, “Yeah, don’t do that thing you’re doing.”
CLAY: And for people who didn’t see this video, especially for parents or grandparents or people that have access to young children, they have kindergarteners in Portland — and we got a lot of people behind enemy lines in Portland who listen to this show, and I have no idea how you even live in that city right now. It just set an all-time murder rate. I was talking, I remember, on an airplane flight with a flight attendant.
I asked, “Hey, what’s your favorite city to go visit?” The guy said, “It used to be Portland, but you can’t even go and do anything in Portland anymore.” He said the whole city’s fallen apart. I had that conversation recently. They’ve got kindergarteners sitting on buckets outdoors, freezing cold weather for their lunch break. I don’t understand how anybody who sees that — and that’s a great point by you about Fauci. Just basic humanity would suggest, “Hey, 5-year-olds don’t need to be socially distanced on buckets outdoors while they eat their lunch. They’re not in danger.”
CLAY: It ain’t that cool of a club, either, to be honest.
BUCK: Not.
CLAY: That’s a lot of losers, the guys who ate by themselves at the lunch table every day. Maybe that’s why they don’t mind the kindergarteners eating by themselves.
