Delusional Biden Thinks His Polices Have “Helped, Not Hurt”

CLAY: We started off the show talking about the fact that Joe Biden was addressing inflation at the same time that we began the show, and he was asked about how much responsibility Democrats had to own for inflation, and here was that question as well as Biden’s response. I want to let you guys all hear it. Let’s play it.

CLAY: Buck, “help, not hurt.” Like, let’s just dive into “help, not hurt.” What does that mean? How is there not a follow-up there? Because what would the inflation rate be if he’s helped? We’re at 8.5%. So it’s double digital if he’s not president?

BUCK: Yeah, you have to wonder in what universe he is living ’cause it’s not the one we’re living in, and you think about the $1.9 trillion that Democrats spent without a single Republican vote. That they can’t get anything done is just not true. They got 1.9 trillion in spending, and they were about to get 5 trillion in spending until Democrats said, a couple of them, you guys are out of your gosh darn minds, okay? You can’t do this. Joe Manchin…

I remember I said this to you, Clay, like, six months ago. I think Joe Manchin may have saved the Democrat Party from complete financial implosion or rather implosion because of the financial policies in the country. I think he may have been the guy standing athwart the Democrats’ insanity yelling “stop,” so to speak. And it’s funny that Joe Biden’s saying this, but what else is he gonna say?

This is the problem we run into with Democrats. First of all, they could have pushed for just infrastructure, not that infrastructure would have fixed inflation ’cause it wouldn’t have but notice they always tied infrastructure to Build Back Better. It was always it’s gotta be both; it’s gotta be both or else we won’t do this. So they wanted all that was this massive spending.

And now they would have to recognize, “Well, that was a really dumb idea.” The only option is for them to admit they were wrong and to admit that they’re wrong is to admit that Republicans are right. And they won’t do it. That’s why they won’t turn the ship around. That’s why we’re heading toward the rocks and Joe Biden is saying, “Full steam ahead!”

CLAY: It’s also why you need multiple questions on top of that because your immediate alarm bells, Buck, when I see that answer, I think it would have been worse. “Do you bear any responsibility?” I think it would have been worse. That’s a record scratch moment where you go back and say, “Wait a minute. Here at 8.5% inflation. That’s the highest in 40 years. When you came into office, inflation was under 2%.

“What you are telling the American public is you were if not in office, if Republicans were in control right now, inflation would be double digits? You’re telling me if Donald Trump had beaten you in 2020, that inflation right now in this country would be over 10%? You’ve made it better at 8.5%, the worst in 40 years?” That is not an argument that the American public hears, Buck, and they even will countenance on the most basic level. That’s a lie. He needs to be held accountable for it.

BUCK: This speech today is not gonna work. But they’re running out of options, folks.
