BUCK: Man. Senator Manchin there, West Virginia, just dancin’ up a storm during that interview to evade the question — a very straightforward question — of just whether or not he’ll support Joe Biden as running for president again. He says, “Oh, I’m not gonna… What do you think I am, a politician? I’m not thinking about elections here!” Sure. Sure he’s not. It’s amazing, isn’t it? It’s because Manchin’s whole political career is based on being a chameleon, right? The moment he needs to be a little bit to the right, he pretends to be a little to the right. He needs to a little to the left, he’s a little to the left.
But he certainly doesn’t want to tell the people of West Virginia right now, “Yeah, I’m thinking Biden’s doing a great job.” He’s doing a horrible job. But he did just bail out the Democrats by going along with this Build Back Better Jr. agenda. So, I just think it’s fascinating that they’re pretending that the walkaway from Biden is not a very real thing, that people recognizing that this guy is just… It’s not only that he… You know, they say it like he’s not up for the job now.
And you’ve noticed there are more and more people even among Democrats are going, “You know, he looks like he’s slowed down a little bit or…” He was never up for the job. This was always a bad idea. Some of us warned about it from the very beginning. Some of us were living in reality. But anything to defeat Trump, they said, anything to beat Trump. I was with Trump for, what, over an hour on Friday with Clay. And, you know, we had a great conversation with him. If he mussed that, by the way, the podcast of the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show is a great place to listen in.
But he is sharp as can be, plenty of energy. There’s nothing about him that gives any indication that he wouldn’t — at least from a health and energy perspective — be up for it again. Joe Biden every time he shuffles around, you just see the way the guy’s walking, the way he’s moving, and you’re saying, “This is not somebody who should be having a taxing job of any kind.” He’s president! It’s not even like I’m saying, “Yeah, he’s principal of the local high school but I think he’s really lost a step.”
He’s the president of the United States, and they act like this is okay; this makes sense.
