CLAY: A couple things I wanted to hit you with. We were talking earlier in the show, Buck, about Defiant L’s, which is one of the fun Twitter accounts.
BUCK: You gotta tell everybody what they do. ‘Cause, like, we live in the Twitterverse. Ninety-five percent of our people right now don’t. So let’s tell them what the heck is this thing.
CLAY: @DefiantLs is a great Twitter account that posts left-wing hypocrisy. So someone says, for instance, “I’ll never take this Trump vaccine, why in the world would anybody do it, this is crazy,” and then as soon as Biden becomes president, they flip it and they say, “Anybody who’s not taking this vaccine is an imbecile! How in the world would you not be?
“What a bunch of idiots these Trump people are, right?” I mean, just exposing the direct emotional hypocrisy connected very often to the left wing. They were suspended. They now are back. That just happened. I want to speak to this hypocrisy right now. Many of you are out in Los Angeles, you listen to us. We appreciate you behind enemy lines, although now you’re in the majority if you don’t like Joe Biden, according to a recent Berkeley poll that we talked about earlier in the show.
But the L.A. Rams won the Super Bowl on Sunday, and they are having a celebration today. The celebration, in order to attend it, Buck, you have to be vaccinated. It’s outdoors. People are driving by. By the way, L.A. had an outdoor vaccine mandate until like yesterday even though I was out there all of last week, I didn’t even know I was supposed to be wearing a mask. Not that I would have done it, but I didn’t even know I was supposed to be wearing a mask while I was walking around on the street, although, Buck, I did get dinged for not having my mask on in an Uber. I got an email. It’s the first time it’s happened.
CLAY: That’s right.
BUCK: This is just lunacy. But my favorite people are the ones who in recent weeks have been sharing the videos of themselves. Here’s what it reminds me of. I saw a really interesting documentary years ago about people who are getting basic like cataract and other surgery in North Korea from some NGO. And the thing that was fascinating was, first of all, how hard it was to obviously get in there and they’re just doing free surgery for people, right?
What do you think the first thing is that every person when they can finally see again, the first thing… You think they turn and thank the NGO? Do you think they thank the doctor? They literally — one after another in North Korea — turn around in tears to thank the Dear Leader portrait that’s always in the room with them, “Thank you, Kim Jong-un, for giving me back my sight.”
It reminds me of that when you see these blue check libs do the “I have covid and I’m really sick, but I just want to say I’m so thankful for my fourth vaccine shot and all the great guidance from the CDC and Dr. Fauci!” It’s like, what will it take for you to understand who your oppressor is? What more has to happen?
CLAY: And I always say if I hadn’t gotten vaccinated, it would have been way more serious, right? Probably not. I hadn’t been vaccinated and I had covid twice and I had no issues with it. So couple things happened in L.A. One, the hypocrisy of the Super Bowl has connected on a level way beyond just conservative media, right? Like this thing. I shared a video from the Super Bowl, shared a hundred thousand times. And there was… Did you see this story?
We had it up at OutKick, Buck. One of the top teachers union members in the state of California was caught posting photos from inside of the Rams-49ers game — which was the NFC Championship Game the week before. He’s been arguing that it’s not safe for kids to be able to be unmasked in classrooms ’cause the teachers are there, yet he was unmasked in a 70,000-seat stadium. And even Jimmy Kimmel took note of this on his program. Which you know when they’re making fun of the stupidity of mask mandates even on late-night talk shows, it’s cut through in a big way. Listen to cut 11.
CLAY: It cut through.
BUCK: A little bit, yeah. But the rules, they’ve always been stupid. There’s no revelation of, “Wait, these rules are arbitrary and capricious and ridiculous.” It’s been that way the whole time. Clay, this morning I wanted to pick up a little gluten-free zucchini bread. Don’t worry about where I go to get these things.
CLAY: Oh, what in the world! (laughs)
BUCK: You know, I’m a fancy guy.
CLAY: (laughing) Zucchini bread.
BUCK: I go to my little cafe to get my gluten-free zucchini bread, and everyone in a line, I got any indoor scarf on, and everyone’s got their mask on in the line but sitting down unmasked.
CLAY: Of course.
BUCK: And you’re just looking at them like, “People, we are all hamsters in a maze right now,” and Fauci’s going (impression), “Stop, go, stop, go, maybe so.” Enough. I’ve had enough.
CLAY: It’s so dumb. It’s really, really dumb.
