California, by the way, was never a slave state. This is woke madness. They are trying to set up an artificially wild mark so they can at some point argue this down to a smaller figure — never mind that it’s impossible to judge who had an enslaved ancestor and who was a recent African immigrant or even a black slaveowner.
What about Barack Obama, who is half white and had an African father whose family never experienced slavery? What about billionaire and millionaires who happen to be black? Do they get an equal share?
