BUCK: We were right once again on this one. We’re right on a lot of things. I’m not gonna put too fine a point on it. It’s just the way it is, folks. The left, the media, they get things wrong all the time, and they don’t care. They don’t care. Doesn’t matter to them. A great example of this is Joe Scarborough over on MSNBC. He is saying that Mark Meadows should get a lawyer.
BUCK: That is such a stupid… Can we come up with a bet that Mark Meadows is not going to be criminally indicted? By the way, for what, exactly? Can we come up with something so that Joe Scarborough has some skin in the game? ‘Cause I know he says this stuff, Clay, because his MSNBC-watching, NPR audience is obsessed with this conspiracy nonsense. It’s not gonna happen. And it’s like these audiences don’t even care. They’re always being lied to.
CLAY: They’re all so dumb. I would just say — and I don’t know. I can’t speak to it. I don’t know Joe Scarborough personally, so I don’t know.
BUCK: I’ve never met him either. I just know his work.
CLAY: I don’t know how intelligent or unintelligent he is. Does he have a law degree? I don’t know. If he does, hearsay is complicated when you get into the exceptions, right? There are certain exceptions. For instance, if you’re dying on your deathbed and you say, “Oh, I have a kid that I’ve never acknowledged before,” and then you die, that declaration can be potentially entered into law, right? There’s a very small subset of out-of-court statements that can be admitted by testimony from someone else who heard them, right, which is hearsay. What is wild here is that anyone who has ever passed a bar exam — anyone who’s been to law school at all — could have ever gotten to this situation, Buck. It’s just crazy.
